Forgotten username or password

Use the links below if you've forgotten your:

  • Username - this link will take you to eBay's Forgot Your User ID online form, and eBay will send your User ID to the email address registered with eBay.

  • Password - this link will take you to eBay's online form to verify your identity. eBay will send you instructions for resetting your password using the email address you have on file for your member account.

more help Manage My Listings

You can use My MissionFish to view all of your pending and closed eBay Giving Works listings. Charity listings that are live on eBay can only be managed from your My eBay account. Our "Manage your listings" tool includes the following features:

All of your eBay Giving Works items that are live on eBay will appear here.


more help Unsold Items

If your eBay Giving Works listing doesn't sell the first time, you can relist it once without incurring a new eBay listing fee. (Bay donates their insertion and final value fees to the benefiting nonprofit on all items with a 90% or more donation percentage.) Relisting is governed by eBay's rules on relisting.

When you relist an eBay Giving Works item you have the option of making changes before you submit it. You can change:
  • The percentage to donate
  • The item title
  • The item description
  • The photo(s)

more help My Seller Profile

You can make changes to your profile on MissionFish from your My MissionFish account. Just choose "update my profile," then the field you want to update. Change the information as you want, and click "submit."

Remember, we don't share information between your eBay account and your MissionFish account. If you make a change in one, the other is not automatically updated.

Please note: when you list an item, or if it is sold or unsold, it can take up to 24 hours before that item appears correctly, both in your Seller My MissionFish account and on your MissionFish nonprofit home page. This is due to the time it takes for our system to reconcile with eBay's. We appreciate your patience regarding this!

To register with MissionFish, start by logging in to your eBay account with your username and password, and then click "sign in". Signing in through eBay allows eBay to protect your username and password. Only authorized eBay partners like MissionFish offer this special security feature.


more help My Donations

My Donations is an aggregate report of the contributions you've made through eBay Giving Works items. Click on My Donations to see all of your donations, a cumulative total of how much you've given, and get receipts for tax deduction purposes. The sum is always cumulative, no matter how many items appear in the list.


more help Request a tax receipt

Tax receipts for your contributions are available in My Donations at any time after the Tax Receipt Date. If you opt-out of a donation refund, a receipt will be available to you immediately upon your donation. Otherwise, it could be two months or more.

Here's what to do:

  1. In My Donations, scroll through the list of all of your eBay Giving Works items that have sold. You can click each of the column headers to resort the entire list.
  2. To create a tax receipt for a donation, check the "Tax Receipt" box to the right of that donation. (Please note: the "Tax Receipt" box will only appear after the Tax Receipt Date.) You can make separate receipts for each donation, or combine multiple donations into a single receipt.
  3. Click the "request a tax receipt" button at the bottom of the page.
  4. Your tax receipt will appear in a new window in a printer-friendly format.
  5. Print and save this receipt for your records.

Every report in your MissionFish account (My Funds Raised, My Listings, etc.), includes an Export to Excel button. Use this to create a Microsoft Excel file from your report details. Note that if your report spans several pages in your MissionFish account, we'll export all of that data into one Excel file.

On the My Summary page, you can manage your listings, keep track of funds you have raised, add or remove Direct Sellers, edit your profile, and more.

This page will also allow you to see any special announcements regarding MissionFish!


more help My Listings

The My Listings page allows you to view items that have been submitted on behalf of your nonprofit, and are currently live on eBay. You may choose to cancel any of these items.

Here's how to cancel an item:
  1. Sign in to your Nonprofit MyMissionFish account.
  2. Click on the "My Open Items" link.
  3. Click the "Cancel" button to the right of the item you want to cancel.
  4. On the following page, choose your reason for cancelling the item, and click "Continue".
Please note that your contact information (name and e-mail address) will be shared with both eBay and the seller, along with the reason for the cancellation. Your request will be sent to eBay customer service immediately. You will receive an e-mail from eBay letting you know when the item has been cancelled.
more help My Funds Raised

The My Funds Raised report gives you the latest assessment of how much money you have raised through MissionFish. This report is a listing of the sum of all the individual donations made to you. Items calculated in this report are always listed - they do not get removed after any amount of time. The sum is cumulative, no matter how many items appear in the list.


more help My Sellers

My Sellers is a report of all eBay sellers who have posted at least one listing to benefit your organization. Both Community Sellers and Direct Sellers are included in My Sellers. Sellers appear in this report whether or not their listings sell.

Below is a guide to the fields in My Sellers. Data in this report is updated once a day at 1 AM EST.

Seller User ID
The seller's eBay User ID, which also appears on the eBay listing and in your My Funds Raised report. Click the User ID to go to this seller's About Me page on eBay.

Seller indicators
These icons give you additional information about each seller. Note that they are always based on the seller's status in our system at this moment.

Community Seller
Direct Seller. If you remove a seller from your list of approved Direct Sellers, the will change to a .
New Seller. This is someone who has posted their very first listing for your organization. After 30 days, the will disappear.

Name
The seller's actual name as it appears on their eBay account. (Since sellers are not required by eBay to use their actual names, you may see aliases here). This field will be blank if they do not wish to share their contact details with nonprofits.

E-mail
The seller's current e-mail address. This field will be blank if they do not wish to share their contact details with nonprofits.

ZIP Code
The seller's current ZIP Code. This field will be blank if they do not wish to share their contact details with nonprofits. It may also be blank for Direct Sellers who do not have mailing address details in their MissionFish profile.

Listings
The total number of listings the seller has posted to benefit your organization. Includes sold and unsold listings. Place your cursor on any “Listings” value to see:

These listings did not find a buyer.

Donations
The total number of donations a seller has made to your organization. The seller makes one donation to you for each eBay sale where you are the benefiting nonprofit.

Amount Donated
The total amount that the seller has donated to your organization to date through eBay Giving Works. Place your cursor on any “Amount Donated” value to see:

Delivered to you:

We have delivered this amount to your organization.

Delivery pending:

$15.62

We will deliver this amount to your organization within the next two months.

Due from seller:

$43.57

The seller owes this amount in new donations.

Last Active
The most recent date this seller posted a listing on eBay to benefit your organization.


Export to Excel

If you Export to Excel from My Sellers, all of your sellers will be exported into a single Excel file. The following data will be included:

  • eBay seller ID
  • Name*
  • E-mail address*
  • Street address*
  • City*
  • State*
  • ZIP Code*
  • Number of listings
    • Number of open listings
    • Number of sold listings
    • Number of unsold listings
  • Number of donations
  • Total amount donated
    • Amount delivered to you
    • Amount pending delivery
    • Amount seller owes to MissionFish
  • Last active date

* Included if the seller wishes to share their contact details.


more help Edit My Profile

You can make changes to your profile on MissionFish from your My MissionFish account. Just choose "edit my profile," then the field you want to update. Change the relevant information and click "update". Changes to your profile will be reviewed by MissionFish.

If you are a nonprofit seller, remember that we don't share information between your MissionFish seller account and your MissionFish nonprofit account. If you make a change in one, the other is not automatically updated. Similarly, we don't share information with any of your eBay accounts.


more help Updating your bank account information

Here are the steps involved in changing the bank account where we deliver your organization's donations:

  1. Sign in to your My MissionFish account, and select "Edit My Profile"
  2. Print out this page with your profile information
  3. Fax us the profile page, together with a cancelled check from your new bank account, and the signature of someone authorized to sign checks for your organization. Fax it all to us at (202) 729-8040.
  4. We'll update your account within one business day - you will be able to see the update in your profile once we're done.


more help Updating your logo

You can update your logo at anytime from Edit My Profile page. Simply scroll down to the "Upload Your Logo" field and browse for your organization's logo. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Update" button.

Please make sure your logo is in .jpg or .gif format and under 50Kb in size. Your logo must meet these requirements to be accepted by our system.


more help Updating your Mission Statement

The Edit My Profile page allows you to change, update or correct any information in your organization's Mission Statement. Just type in the new or corrected Mission Statement in the text box provided. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Update" button.

We will have to review your Mission Statement before it will be posted to your nonprofit homepage.


more help My e-mail preferences

The My e-mail preferences page allows you to change the 3 things regarding e-mail and your MissionFish nonprofit account:

  1. You can change the e-mail address on file with us.
  2. You can change the preferences on how/if your notified if a new item is listed on your organization's behalf.
  3. You can choose to receive e-mail updates from MissionFish.

This page allows you to add or remove Direct Sellers from your MissionFish nonprofit account. By adding a Direct Seller to your MissionFish nonprofit account, a nonprofit seller's items will not incur the MissionFish fees for sellers.

If you are a nonprofit seller, it's very important for you add yourself as a Direct Seller. If you don't, we won't know that you're a nonprofit seller, and we'll treat you like a Community seller:

  • When an item sells we'll collect the full donation amount from your seller's credit card.
  • We'll deduct the MissionFish Share from your donation.
  • We'll hold your "donation" until the Donation Delivery Date.

Here's how to add a Direct Seller to your MissionFish account:

  1. Log in to your MissionFish account.
  2. Click on the "Manage Direct Sellers" link (it’s on the left under “Edit My Profile”).
  3. In the gray "Add a Direct Seller" box, add the eBay user ID of the seller you'd like to add, and click the "add" button. The user should now be in your Direct Seller list, below the gray box.

more help My "No-Notification" List

My "No-Notification" List lets you give special privileges to trusted eBay community sellers for whom you don't need to receive e-mail notifications. We will not send you an e-mail when any of these sellers posts or changes a listing on your behalf.

Please Note: In addition to the sellers on the "No-Notification" List, you will not receive e-mail notifications from your Direct Sellers.

Here's how to add someone to your "No-Notification" list:

  1. Sign in to your nonprofit My MissionFish account
  2. Select "E-mail Preferences" under the "Edit My Profile" tab
  3. In the My "No-Notification" List box at the bottom of the page, enter the eBay User ID of the seller you want to add (make sure to spell it correctly!)
  4. Click "Add"

Note: to edit existing sellers on the "No-Notification" List (such as to change the eBay user ID, you must remove the seller(using the "remove" button next to the seller's ID), and then add the seller's ID again.

If you are a nonprofit seller, it's very important for you to connect your MissionFish nonprofit and seller accounts. If you don't, we won't know that you're a Nonprofit Direct Seller, and we'll treat you like a Community Seller:
  • When an item sells we'll collect the full donation amount from your seller's credit card.
  • We'll deduct the MissionFish Share from your "donation".
  • We'll hold your "donation" until the Donation Delivery Date.
As a Nonprofit Direct Seller, on the other hand, you enjoy the following advantages:
  • You don't have to provide credit card information to MissionFish when registering to sell on your behalf.
  • You do not have to meet the donation minimum, and the nonprofit does not receive an e-mail notification when you post a new listing for them.
  • We will not collect a donation, provide a tax receipt or deduct fees for these listings.
  • eBay will give the nonprofit a fee credit for all insertion and final value fees for Direct Seller items that sell.
Here's how to add a Direct Seller to your MissionFish nonprofit account:
  1. Log in to your MissionFish nonprofit account.
  2. Click on the "Manage Direct Sellers" link (found on the left hand side bar under “Edit My Profile”).
  3. In the gray "Add a Direct Seller" box, add the eBay user ID of the seller you'd like to add, and click the "add" button. The user should now be in your Direct Seller list, below the gray box.
