Donate Now gifts
- In addition to donations that result from charity listings, any certified nonprofit can receive gifts from eBay users who don’t Community Sell. The Donate Now tab on your organization’s About My Nonprofit page lets anyone with a PayPal account donate to you right away – without buying or selling anything. We collect and distribute the donation, and handle the tax receipt.
- "Donate Now” appears on your About My Nonprofit page automatically, as soon as you’re certified for eBay Giving Works.
- Community Seller donations and Donate Now gifts are a little different:
- Community Seller donations only result from charity listings that sell.
- Donate Now donations can come from anyone with a PayPal account, and are not connected to a specific eBay listing.
- Donate Now is an optional feature. Your organization is opted-in by default, but you can opt-out by changing a preference inside your MissionFish profile.
- Donate Now gifts are delivered as part of our monthly donation distribution, but we don’t have to hold onto them as long as we hold Community Seller donations. MissionFish keeps a smaller deduction from Donate Now gifts, because there’s less work for us in processing them.
