Why the donation goes to MissionFish first
- As the nonprofit administering eBay Giving Works, we make sure that donations happen as promised.
- We collect all donations—whether they resulted from a charity listing or from a Donate Now gift--before passing them along to the benefiting nonprofit.
- This allows us to provide tax receipts for each donation, so you don’t have to. Plus, we’ll follow up with any Community Sellers who are late making their donation as promised.
- In the event that a Community Seller or Donate Now donor needs their donation back or waived, MissionFish takes care of that for you too.
