- Thank Your eBay Supporters this Year
- Considering the current state of the economy, now, more than ever, it is important to thank sellers who have donated a portion of their eBay sales to your cause or made an immediate gift through Donate Now this year.
- There are a few ways you can thank your eBay Giving Works donors. If the donor is willing to share their contact details, you can find that information in your nonprofit account on the MissionFish website. Here’s how:
- 1. Log into your account on www.missionfish.org
- 2. Under “My Donors,” click on “Community Sellers” to see who has donated a portion of their sales to your organization or “Donate Now Donors” to see who made an immediate donation.
- 3. If they provided their contact details, their email address or zip code will appear in the listing of donors. Roll over the zip code to get their mailing address.
- 4. Select the “Export to Excel” button at the bottom of the page to obtain a list of all your donors and any details provided as an Excel file. Now you can easily upload the new contacts into your database to make communication seamless.
- For those eBay users who decided not to give their personal details, all is not lost. Post a general thank you note to them on our special eBay thread! Here’s how:
- 1. Visit the eBay Giving Works Board discussion “Nonprofits: post your thanks to the eBay Community here!”
- 2. Select Post a Reply (you will need to sign into your eBay account)
- 3. Write your own message or use our pre-made thank you note
- 4. Select Post Message
- We’re certain your note of appreciation will be treasured. Whether it is hand-written, emailed or posted, a thank you note will let them know that their efforts are really making a difference and it will inspire them to keep donating in 2009.
